Engelbrecht Antiochus Nawatiseb Joint Venture Lead — Trans-Atlantic Opportunities, Namibia

Engelbrecht Nawatiseb brings to the Group a rare combination of executive government experience, oversight of state commercial enterprises, municipal leadership, and a working entrepreneur's grasp of operational delivery.

He served as Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises of the Republic of Namibia (2015–2018), where he was involved in the stewardship and reform of the country's parastatal portfolio, and subsequently as Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Technology (2018–2020), contributing to the modernization of Namibia's digital and communications infrastructure. He represented the Oshikoto Region as a Member of the National Assembly (2015–2020), with declared legislative interests spanning research, media, sport, politics, and entrepreneurship.

Mr. Nawatiseb has also served as Mayor of Tsumeb, gaining frontline experience of municipal governance, public infrastructure, and community stakeholder management in one of Namibia's principal mining towns. His earlier career as a journalist — recognised through several media awards — lends him a particular fluency in communications and public narrative, while his service as Regional Treasurer of SWAPO for the Oshikoto Region reflects the trust placed in him on matters of financial stewardship.

Before entering public office, Mr. Nawatiseb built and ran his own contracting business in the roads and infrastructure sector — experience that anchors his contributions on matters of enterprise performance, risk, and project execution. He holds a Road Contractor Certification alongside his secondary education at Otjikoto Secondary School.

He is valued by colleagues and counterparts for his pragmatic judgment, his deep familiarity with the public-sector and regulatory environment in Southern Africa, and a candid, principled approach to governance.

Mr. Nawatiseb joined the Group in 2026 and serves as the Joint Venture Lead for Trans-Atlantic Opportunities associated with the Great Nation of Namibia, where he is responsible for shaping the partnership's local strategy, anchoring its stakeholder relationships, and driving operational delivery on the ground.
